Sukin Skincare Review

Since discovering Sukin in Tkmaxx they’ve become one of my favourite facial skincare brands. I love Sukin’s ethos - skincare that doesn’t cost the earth - and so far I’ve liked all of their skincare products which I’ve tried. Sukin is an Australian natural skincare brand and have quite a broad range of 98.8% naturally derived, vegan skincare products with something for everyone and their collections include a signature, super greens, oil balancing and anti-ageing range.

Sukin Skincare Review: Natural Beauty

I received some generous travel sized samples of the Sukin signature and sensitive collections at Stylist Live Luxe last November and received a full size sample of the Ageless Hydration Elixir in a goody bag so I thought I’d do a little review of these Sukin face care products. Read on for more...

Foaming Facial Cleanser

Firstly, Sukin Signature Foaming Facial Cleanser is a face wash which I’ve been using daily for the past three years (my hubby uses it too!). This face cleanser is a staple in my skincare routine as mentioned in my previous post on ‘how to care for combination skin’. I like the fact that this facial cleanser is super gentle and has a light foam. It cleanses and hydrates the skin with chamomile, green tea, aloe vera and witch hazel and never leaves my skin feel dry and tight after use.

Face Mask

Sukin Sensitive Pink Clay Facial Masque is a more recent discovery for me. This face mask blends pink and red clays to draw out impurities and environmental pollutants to leave skin looking radiant and clear. The formula is a packed with tasmanian pepper together with soothing cucumber, aloe and chamomile. I find this smooth to apply, and after leaving it on for 15 minutes it doesn't dry tightly and always leaves my skin feeling refreshed. Another great mask from the Sukin range which I really like is the Super Greens Detoxifying Clay Masque with avocado, kale and parsley (sounds like a smoothie right!). Both are perfect for self-care sunday or mask monday!

Hydration Elixir

As part of my usual routine I would opt for a face oil and hadn’t used a face elixir previously. But elixirs are essentially the same thing just a more fancy name in my opinion… Elixirs combine various oils and can be used in the same way you would a face oil after cleansing and toning and before your facial moisturiser. You can also add a few drops of a facial elixir to your moisturiser before you apply it to your face. Sukin Purely Ageless Hydration Elixir contains a lovely blend of crambe oil, vitamin E, paracress extract, sweet almond oil, macadamia, rosehip, acai and carrot seed oil plus a lovely ylang ylang scent. This Sukin elixir claims to increase hydration by 60% over 5 days and reduce surface wrinkles by 50%. I can’t comment on wrinkle reduction as thankfully I haven’t many yet… but my skin does feel more hydrated after using it.

Facial Moisturiser

Finally, Sukin Signature Facial Moisturiser softens skin with a beautiful blend of avocado, sesame, rosehip and jojoba oils as well as vitamin E and aloe. This face moisturiser has grown on me because at first I felt it was too light for my skin as I tend to prefer slightly heavier facial moisturisers but the formula absorbs into the skin quickly. I simply use a generous amount and layer it up with a facial oil or the Sukin hydration elixir for added moisture.

My skin is loving these Sukin skincare products especially the Foaming Facial Cleanser and Hydration Elixir, the products smell beautiful and I would recommend them if you are looking for quality natural skincare products that work. Sukin skincare products are priced from £7.95 on Lookfantastic.com (they have regular promos/discounts). You can get travel sized versions at Boots and Holland at Barrett.

I hope you found this Sukin skincare product review helpful! Have you tried any Sukin face care products before? Let me know your faves in the comments.
